Good morning.
Just a quick little thing here folks. We had planned to do what we were calling Episode 2 of Gaming With Girlfriend last night, but we opted to get our Christmas tree instead. So we bumped the show to today, Monday December 16th 2019.
We’ll be live at mixer.com/jmskoda5 at 8pm EST, with what we are now calling Episode 1.5 of Gaming With Girlfriend.
Last week, when we started the show, we thought we’d do weekly episodes of two 45-minute segments. Part one was going to be the talk show, and part two was going to be gaming. We decided that that was a little much to try all at once, as well as that the viewers for each of those segments might be different people. I also messed up the audio portion of the recording for what was going to be part two of Episode 1, so we ended up deciding not to post that.
We do want to be able to do more complete playthroughs of the games we stream together, and until we develop the show more, we didn’t want to end up not having enough to talk about it we did the talk show portion every single week.
So here’s our fix: we’re still going to do a show every week. One week we’ll be doing the talk show, and the next week we’ll be doing the gaming show. The talk show will be uploaded both to YouTube and podcast format (just waiting on approval from Apple), while the gaming show will only be uploaded to YouTube. We’ve decided to label the talk shows Episode 1, 2, 3, etc. and the gaming shows as Episodes 1.5, 2.5, etc. This way, the podcast episode numbers will line up with the YouTube episode numbers, and anyone looking for just the talk show can look for whole number episodes, and anyone looking for just the gaming show can look for the half number episodes. Everybody wins.

We’ll be re-starting Callie’s live playthrough of Skyrim that we talked about on Episode 1, should be a good time!
