I took my own advice on rest a little too seriously and rested through my opportunities to write yesterday. I didn’t make it seven days in a row, but I’ve definitely started something of a trend for myself. After my small failure, I’m content to be happy about the little things.
I’m glad I decided to write today. I’m glad I cleaned the coffee table, glad I’ve got Callie around, glad our cat Westley is getting less crazy. I’m glad I had a cupcake leftover from Valentine’s Day, and I’m glad I got to rest yesterday.
Being grateful for the small things in life is one way to help move past failures and hard times. I’m trying to be better at positive thinking, and this is one way that seems to be working.
Find some small thing to be grateful for each day and it can improve your life over time. In both the interest of the small things, and of my lack of imagination today, this will be a short, sweet, and to the point post. Appreciate the little things.
