About

Introduction

I am a 25 year-old human male. I have a Bachelors Degree from Castleton University in Psychology, concentrations in Developmental and Forensic Psych. My undergraduate research tested the effectiveness of a mobile app designed to reduce anxiety. My current research interests lie primarily with developing and using tabletop games for use treating mental health conditions, and providing professional development workshops.

I work as a writer, and amateur game developer in a rural Vermont town.

I am a lifetime learner, a gentleman, and a scholar.

I want to make the world a better place.

Why Red Hoodie?

Well, anyone who knew me growing up referred to me as “that blonde short kid in the red hoodie.” I started wearing a red hooded sweatshirt in about 4th grade. I had it for three or four years before getting a new one, another red sweatshirt. At the time I REFUSED to call them a “hoodie”, I just disliked the term, so they were sweatshirts, and if it had a zipper it was a jacket, partial zippers were called pullovers, and anything thicker or heavier was a coat.

So for all of high-school and college my go-to outer layer was a red hoodie, and it became a small, albeit fair, part of my identity.

At least a year ago, at the bar with some friends from high-school talking about the possibility of starting a game development company, I asked them for ideas about a name. One of them had it right away, “Red Hoodie Games” he said. It took me until months later to actually register the business name, write a business plan, meet with a consultant, and really take steps to make it happen. I’m getting in the habit of writing everyday and working to bring games to everyone that I can.
